The North Temple Landfill Remediation Project is our first full-scale WAIV® system. In 2025, the system evaporated over 700,000 gallons of leachate with flow as high as 15,000 gallons per day. While WAIV is effective in most areas of the country, SLC's dry and windy weather is perfect for maximizing the technology's evaporative capacity. The system is taking care of a significant volume of leachate that would otherwise need to be hauled away and treated at a POTW.
